Lesson Notes Post Cancellation

If you mark a lesson as cancelled or reschedule the lesson you need to complete the INTERNAL NOTES section on Teachworks so we ensure we are paying you correctly and that families are billed correctly.

The internal notes are only seen by our admin team and you need to complete the following sections:

  • If the lesson was cancelled, you indicate who cancelled it. Was it you? Was it the family? And when did that happen? Was it an email in the morning?

  • If the family emailed you with more than 12 hours notice, but you didn't look at it until just before the lesson it is still considered a cancelled lesson- not missed.

  • If a family give you less than 12 hours' notice, that's considered missed and you are paid in full.

  • If they give you more than 12 hours' notice or they ask you to reschedule, you are not obliged to reschedule, but if you would like to, then you simply need to edit the lesson and put an alternative lesson time in.

  • If you're not rescheduling the lesson because it's not feasible or you simply don't want to do it, that is fine. You simply click cancelled and it's more than 12 hours' notice and billable. In this scenario you are paid 50%.

  • The family is billed in full for all cancellations. This is due to the additional strain on our admin team with cancellations and also to encourage families to value and attend tuition ensuring great outcomes for their children.
