FAQ

  • How does private tuition work?
Tuition with Boost Your Learning is available across New Zealand. After your diagnostic assessment, you will be assigned the best-fit tutor for your student's needs. Lessons are typically one-on-one with a dedicated and experienced teacher. The tutor will plan exclusively for your child, building on their strengths and targeting their learning needs identified in the initial assessment. With your permission, our tutors can liaise with your child's class or subject teacher to maximize the benefit of the lessons. This ensures students have many opportunities to apply new skills. Lessons can take place before, during, or after school, depending on tutor availability.
  • How does online tuition work?
Learning online is an easy and convenient way to bring high-quality learning experiences to your home, no matter where you live. To start online learning, students need a computer and high-speed internet access. We use our fully integrated platform, Lesson Space, where we can see and hear each other. The platform includes an interactive whiteboard tool that students can write on, and we can upload videos, images, and learning slides for use before, during, and after the class. Each student has their own 'Lesson Space' which saves progress, making learning adaptive to your child's needs. Benefits of online lessons include: Reviewing materials in advance Taking photos and recording important parts of the lesson for later review Using online interactive tools to make learning fun and interesting Receiving the same high-quality learning experience as in face-to-face lessons Screen sharing to access course materials in real-time
